I warned you didn’t I? As promised, here is my homage to St.Raphael (aka the real St Valentine). Ok, I’ll be honest and call it what it really is, a need to use up the way too many dried cherries and shredded coconut that I have kicking around the house. But shhhh….it’ll be our little secret […]

Valentine’s Day is here! Ok, that was actually horribly misleading of me, I’m not even really that big of a Valentine’s Day fan (this doesn’t mean I don’t love you Kevin – you’re amazing to me all year round, no special day required 🙂 …now that we’ve gotten that sappiness out of the way, on […]

A couple of weeks ago I received another challenge request to make macarons. To which I responded out loud to an empty room “Hell yeah!” (well…one of my cats was sitting/sleeping in the room, and though I may have startled her slightly with my exuberance, I also think I detected a gleam of excitement in […]

I know what you’re thinking, “Amber, you just did peanut butter last week, are you already so out of ideas that you can’t do something new?” Now on the one hand you would be right, but on the other hand, I love, love, love (did I mention LOVE???) peanut butter, so you’re just going to […]

About Amber

Amber Profile

Hi, I'm Amber Trudeau.  I bake.... a lot.

I'm also vegan, and found that whenever I went out to a restaurant my dessert choices were limited to sorbet, sorbet, and sorbet.  So I started making my own desserts. I wanted them to taste good though - so my ultimatum was to make delicious desserts that also happen to be dairy-free and egg-free. Every week or so, I challenge myself to try something new.  To recreate some kind of traditional dessert that tastes amazing without using animal products.
