Ok, the headline here might be a bit confusing. You’re excused for thinking I’m doing something Spanish (or something nonsensical in general since none of those words are even particularly Spanish. This heading could also be mistaken for the sound I make when unpleasantly roused from sleep on a cold winter morning).  If you had […]

I know, I know, I’m embarrassed too. I’ve clearly totally given in to the insanity that is pumpkin spice season (also, when did fall get renamed “Pumpkin Spice Season”? We should consider renaming all seasons based on their quintessential consumer product: Winter aka “Santa/ Peppermint Lobby” (take your pick) Season Spring aka “Roll-Up the Rim” […]

A challenge presented itself to me this week. Well…the challenge didn’t just walk up to me in the street or anything. Although here’s a delicious rendition of my possible responses to such a proposal: (that denied face it awesome). It was a request that did at first blush sound challenging indeed though. Create a gluten-free, refined sugar-free birthday cake. […]

I apologize if you were shocked/appalled/outraged at this headline, but it was way too awesome for me not to use (although I’m obviously biased 😉 ). About Amber

Amber Profile

Hi, I'm Amber Trudeau.  I bake.... a lot.

I'm also vegan, and found that whenever I went out to a restaurant my dessert choices were limited to sorbet, sorbet, and sorbet.  So I started making my own desserts. I wanted them to taste good though - so my ultimatum was to make delicious desserts that also happen to be dairy-free and egg-free. Every week or so, I challenge myself to try something new.  To recreate some kind of traditional dessert that tastes amazing without using animal products.
