Alright, we’ve reached the final beverages post for the month! For those of you who are anti liquid-ites, you’re terrible suffering will shortly come to an end. Now I can’t believe the first three posts were alcohol free either, but obviously at least one of these would be required to include some sort of intoxicating substance […]

Pie crust topped apple cider! What is happening here???!!! Too much crazyness!!! Is it pie? Is it cider? As long as you don’t decide to do a word-merge in which you dub it Spider, we’re all good here 😉 (calling it apple pie-der however is perfectly acceptable). I mean, ok, I admit that this might […]

I never get sick of gingerbread, I truly wish it weren’t considered a seasonal thing (gingerbread is my pumpkin spice if you know what I’m saying). Finding ways to work those warm and delicious flavours into all possible things never gets old or boring. The marriage of gingerbread and hot chocolate therefore just seemed meant […]

Despite the winky face and implied alcoholic imbibingness of the start of what I’m deeming beverage month, this first offering is actually a traditional Dutch children’s drink for St. Nicholas Day (which I felt was very fitting since Dec 6 actually is St.Nicholas Day, how […]

I warned you didn’t I? As promised, here is my homage to St.Raphael (aka the real St Valentine). Ok, I’ll be honest and call it what it really is, a need to use up the way too many dried cherries and shredded coconut that I have kicking around the house. But shhhh….it’ll be our little secret […]

About Amber

Amber Profile

Hi, I'm Amber Trudeau.  I bake.... a lot.

I'm also vegan, and found that whenever I went out to a restaurant my dessert choices were limited to sorbet, sorbet, and sorbet.  So I started making my own desserts. I wanted them to taste good though - so my ultimatum was to make delicious desserts that also happen to be dairy-free and egg-free. Every week or so, I challenge myself to try something new.  To recreate some kind of traditional dessert that tastes amazing without using animal products.
