Time this week seemed to slip away from me much faster than usual. Normally I get super excited/ pumped thinking/ pondering what I’m going to whip up each week. In fact, I’m almost more excited at the prospect of what I’m planning than the actual consuming of said dessert and/ or baked good (I said […]

Or “Here’s the Scoop: I Came Up with this on the Fry” Dear Mashup Month, Today, I elevate you to a whole new level of mashup-y-ness in addition to combining you with a soupçon of high school nostalgia. Please just accept this honour and embrace being delicious. Sincerely yours, Amber The other day, for some […]

I know, I know, now you think you’ve accidentally stumbled upon the complete opposite of a vegan dessert blog. Since when does avian murder find its place in this sweet cruelty-free world? I’ll break it down for you. Believe it or not, “killing two birds with one stone” is actually a supposedly well-known expression meaning […]

I would like to officially invite you all to Dessert Mashup Month! (or, in case you only know it by it’s other more “traditional” name,…May 😉 ). What is Dessert Mashup Month you ask? Well in case my photographic (in)abilities haven’t given you a hint, it’s where we over here at Sweet Ultimatums combine two, two, […]

Viva Las Puffs

Or, what happens in vegan marshmallow cookies stays in….err, gets shared with everyone? 😉 Shouldn’t that really be Las Vegas’ slogan in this day and age anyway? About Amber

Amber Profile

Hi, I'm Amber Trudeau.  I bake.... a lot.

I'm also vegan, and found that whenever I went out to a restaurant my dessert choices were limited to sorbet, sorbet, and sorbet.  So I started making my own desserts. I wanted them to taste good though - so my ultimatum was to make delicious desserts that also happen to be dairy-free and egg-free. Every week or so, I challenge myself to try something new.  To recreate some kind of traditional dessert that tastes amazing without using animal products.
