Ok, so being the big liar that I am, I’m opting to do a “real” (aka what I’d actually intended to post last week) New Year’s post. It’s a week late technically, but if you really think about, today is actually my first post of 2018 so it’s really my first post of the New Year, so […]

A Boy Named Tiramisu

December 31 , 2017 by Amber Trudeau - in Bars, Candy

I mean, who wouldn’t want that for a name? Oh Johnny Cash, things could’ve been so different for your titular song character if only a “Tira-” had been added to his name. There’s a reason people always nickname their loved ones after delicious treats (Sweetie Pie, Sugar, Honey, Babe….uh…that last one might mean your loved one […]

I really made that sound appetizing didn’t I? 😉 It’s truly a gift, please, hold your applause. So, as I’ve mentioned many a time, I’m a huge peanut butter lover. It’s no surprise then that peanut butter balls are a staple during Christmas baking season. Once Christmas is over however, the poor delicately delicious peanut […]

Alright, here’s the real Halloween post (not like that fake-out post from last week 😉 ). This week I bring you a veritable smorgasbord of super fast/easy Halloween desserts of both the healthy (booo!!!) and unhealthy (yeah!!!!) variety. So, you know, be afraid, be very afraid…or whatever. Complete side note here, but don’t you love how […]

A challenge presented itself to me this week. Well…the challenge didn’t just walk up to me in the street or anything. Although here’s a delicious rendition of my possible responses to such a proposal: (that denied face it awesome). It was a request that did at first blush sound challenging indeed though. Create a gluten-free, refined sugar-free birthday cake. […]

About Amber

Amber Profile

Hi, I'm Amber Trudeau.  I bake.... a lot.

I'm also vegan, and found that whenever I went out to a restaurant my dessert choices were limited to sorbet, sorbet, and sorbet.  So I started making my own desserts. I wanted them to taste good though - so my ultimatum was to make delicious desserts that also happen to be dairy-free and egg-free. Every week or so, I challenge myself to try something new.  To recreate some kind of traditional dessert that tastes amazing without using animal products.
