It’s been a little while, but here I am, comin’ at you with another THEMED MONTH!!! In case it’s not blatantly obvious, this one is cookies inspired by beloved cocktails. I figured I would start with the “craziest” sounding idea, and make some Caesar (aka Bloody Mary since I’m obviously not using Clamato juice here) […]

More peanuts/peanut butter???!!! Seriously Amber, get a room 😉 . OK, I promise I’ll do something not peanut butter related for next week, but stick with me here, because these are actually totally different from anything else peanut buttery that I’ve done before. I mean look at those innocent looking candy cups of joy! They […]

We’ve made it! It’s the final week for game of scones 😉 . For this final huzzah, I’m bringing you the second savoury scone. Please don’t get angry with me for this. There will be peanut butter, and crusty scones, and spiciness (you know, to spice up your life à la Spice Girls. Oh the […]

Farewell Olympics 2016 – I will freely admit that I did not watch even one single event, but I’m sure you were great. Uh, go Canada??!!! (How did we do anyway? Good? ….ok, I just looked it up because I was super embarrassed about my complete lack of enthusiasm and/ or knowledge on the Olympic […]

Ok, I’ll be the first to admit that the photo does not make this look like the most appetizing thing in the world. For presentation here, I most definitely get a score of negative a million (or thereabouts). But rest assured dear reader, it tastes much, much better than it seems when first meets the […]

There was no way that I wanted to have this post be about cookies. We’re obviously all looking for a slight change of pace this week after a full month of those deliciously chocolate studded, sugar filled circles of addiction (ummm…does it show that cookies are actually my kyptonite, so I’m totally not sick of them? I figured […]

About Amber

Amber Profile

Hi, I'm Amber Trudeau.  I bake.... a lot.

I'm also vegan, and found that whenever I went out to a restaurant my dessert choices were limited to sorbet, sorbet, and sorbet.  So I started making my own desserts. I wanted them to taste good though - so my ultimatum was to make delicious desserts that also happen to be dairy-free and egg-free. Every week or so, I challenge myself to try something new.  To recreate some kind of traditional dessert that tastes amazing without using animal products.
