Another recipe that was actually made a million years ago that I just never posted! Aren’t you excited??!! (why do I share this information with you? I should just be pretending that I made this mere moments ago and I’m so on the ball that I immediately had to post and share about it. This […]

..anyone else a lover of Judy Bloom? I’m sure she’d punch me square in the face for sacrilegiously using her book title in this clearly not-intended-for-childhood-audiences way, but…what are you gonna do about it Judy? Huh???!!! Yeah, that’s what I thought (ummm…please don’t sue me, I’ll provide you with free Margarita cookie samples! That should […]

…is surprisingly the Sangria infused madeleine cookie. Shocking I know. But you combine a little Spanish flair with a little French sophistication and you are now fully within your rights to call yourself classy and worldly. Am I right? (Don’t answer that, I’m right šŸ˜‰ ). It’s funny because, although whenever I’ve had Sangria I’ve […]

…is actually in my thumbprint. Thumbprint cookies that is šŸ˜‰ . But not just any boring ol’ thumbprint cookies of course. These little diamonds in the rough are virtual poster children for summer beach relaxing time (which I could really go for right now. I miss you summer. RIP šŸ™ ). One bite of these […]

Summer!!!!!!!!!!! That is possibly my favourite word. Conjuring up images of warmth and holidays…and ice cream! You know the big problem with ice cream though? It just gets a little too melty a little too fast. Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “sticky fingers” (although now maybe you could “legitimately” “accidentally” rob peopleĀ  […]

Personally, I’m a big fan of incorporating savoury herbs into dessert (strawberry-basil, lemon-thyme, apple and sage, so many possibilities! I even had a whole themed month about it, so if you’re interested, check out one (or all!) of these posts – rosemary, basil, dill (surprisingly my favourite tasting of the 4) or oregano). In trying […]

I’m clearly on a bit of a cranberry kick here…because my new challenge is apparently how many berries can you cran into one blog? Wakka-wakka-wakka!! (or sad trombone sound depending on how cheesy you like your puns šŸ˜‰ ). I still had some white chocolate chips kicking around, and those definitely go with cranberries as […]

So the secret’s obviously out on which “mystery” condiment we’ll be embracing today. I rub my hands together with relish and glee (after which I had to give them a right scrubbing because my hands were coated in green goo and whatever it is that “glee” is made of? It’s invisible, but surprisingly difficult to […]

See? Didn’t I promise you no more peanut butter? (well…not no moreĀ ever, just not this week. Don’t be crazy šŸ˜‰ ). I’m a super fan of citrus, so I might be a little biased here (I eat straight lemons (although maybe not? They don’t share their sexuality with me before I devour them šŸ˜‰ ) […]

About Amber

Amber Profile

Hi, I'm Amber Trudeau. Ā I bake.... a lot.

I'm also vegan, and found that whenever I went out to a restaurant my dessert choices were limited to sorbet, sorbet, and sorbet. Ā So I started making my own desserts. I wanted them to taste good though - so my ultimatum was to make delicious desserts that also happen to be dairy-free and egg-free. Every week or so, I challenge myself to try something new. Ā To recreate some kind of traditional dessert that tastes amazing without using animal products.
