Including showing any consistency in writing this blog. I have an actual excuse this time though for taking so long to write another post. I’ve been diagnosed with a pretty serious condition (that I just made up right now) known as slothful unindustriousness. In layman’s terms, that means I’m lazy šŸ˜‰ (apparently perfectly motivated enough […]

THEMED MONTH!!!! I’m super excited about it because there is just so so much potential for disaster here. What can I say? I just love livin’ on the edge like that (which then reminded of that Aerosmith song. I ā¤Ā the teenage nostalgia of that tune). To get you in the mood for this month, I […]

Because this will definitely make you feel like you’re in heaven/aka on a fluffy cloud of deliciousness in the sky. I don’t know what I’m saying, but the real point here is, despite the fact that this cakeĀ technically started off as a bit of a disaster for me (a bit more on that later since […]

A pun by any other name would….well probably be better than this one, so there’s that. This week, I’m going to bring you what I’m going to call the “real estate agent” version of dessert bait and switch (except in a good way I promise! šŸ™‚ ). Because I know what you’re thinking…”Amber, do you […]

It’s the final week! I know, I’m sad too. But don’t let it get you down. If you’re feeling blue, this recipe will take those blues and turn them into berries. Delicious delicious, east-coasty berries. This week, in an hĆ“mage to the maritime provinces, I bring you the blueberry grunt. I had technically never hear […]

Week two!! I know, youā€™re super excited, I can feel it from here. The air is practically palpable with your barely contained exuberance. Just breathe, we still have two more weeks after this one, so reserve at least some of your enthusiasm for future posts šŸ˜‰ . I know I said last week that I […]

It’s the final week! I can’t believe it, April went by so fast. So many more things I would’ve made, but I should maybe save some things so that I can possibly do this again next year since I enjoyed myself so much (hopefully I wasn’t the only one?). And if I can’t waitĀ quite that […]

I was originally intending to do a Valentine’s post today, but it fell off my radar completely, and though I did bake something today to fit into that theme, you’re just going to have to wait a couple of weeks to see that one (upside though? It’s not something thatĀ has to be Valentine’s themed, so […]

Well, if you’re me, you might also end up eating a bunch of your freely acquired and provided-by-life lemons straight up, but if you have a lot of them, then I suppose one could also work them into a pie, or a tart…or something šŸ˜‰ . As a kid, lemon meringue pie was probably one […]

About Amber

Amber Profile

Hi, I'm Amber Trudeau. Ā I bake.... a lot.

I'm also vegan, and found that whenever I went out to a restaurant my dessert choices were limited to sorbet, sorbet, and sorbet. Ā So I started making my own desserts. I wanted them to taste good though - so my ultimatum was to make delicious desserts that also happen to be dairy-free and egg-free. Every week or so, I challenge myself to try something new. Ā To recreate some kind of traditional dessert that tastes amazing without using animal products.
