We made it through another year! As a side note, I’ve now officially passed the one year mark of bloggerdom! (is that a thing? Sure it is 😉 ). To be perfectly honest, I did not think I had it in me to post weekly for a month let alone a whole year, so huzzah […]

Alright, we’ve reached the final beverages post for the month! For those of you who are anti liquid-ites, you’re terrible suffering will shortly come to an end. Now I can’t believe the first three posts were alcohol free either, but obviously at least one of these would be required to include some sort of intoxicating substance […]

I apologize if you were shocked/appalled/outraged at this headline, but it was way too awesome for me not to use (although I’m obviously biased 😉 ). I suppose I should’ve tried to be a bit more equal opportunity/ gender equality about it though, I shouldn’t just assume that my dessert was female. Here’s my manly version […]

So my oldest brother was having a big birthday recently. The big 4-0 (sorry Lincoln, your age has now been outed on the internet for all the world to see. I humbly apologize for completely ruining your attempts at joining “The club for super awesome cool people under the age of 40. Those that are […]

I don’t mean to recycle ideas. I know what you’re thinking (if you’ve actually been reading this blog) “Hey Amber,  what is this?! The Mission Impossible franchise? You’ve already done brownies with wine in them! Do you really think chocolate cookies with wine in them are really so clever and creative? Because they’re not. For […]

Final Pan Am post! Aren’t you excited? I know I sure am! (well…I’m actually most excited about getting back all my lost “can’t drive in the 3+HOV lane” time). Don’t be sad about this being the final post though, I don’t want to cause a Pan-demic! (yes, I literally only included that sentence for the horrible […]

I was running out of inspiration for this week I must admit. Well, that’s not totally true, I sadly have a notebook that’s half filled with ideas and things I want to do/ make at some point. But, you know, it’s kind of the baking equivalent of looking into your overflowing closet and declaring you […]

Le sigh. I’m in need of better puns, I’ve most definitely gotten lazy of late. Anyhow, obviously I wanted to make something in honour of Easter. Of course, as per my usual inability to be in-season and with it (which takes me back to my not-at-all-cool high school days. Plaid shirts and crop tops anyone?), […]

Unless you’re crying tears of joy of course (because I must admit that I did get a bit misty eyed with pride when I finished making these and set them free to go forth and make their way in the world). Is anyone else as huge a fan of House of Cards as I am? […]

About Amber

Amber Profile

Hi, I'm Amber Trudeau.  I bake.... a lot.

I'm also vegan, and found that whenever I went out to a restaurant my dessert choices were limited to sorbet, sorbet, and sorbet.  So I started making my own desserts. I wanted them to taste good though - so my ultimatum was to make delicious desserts that also happen to be dairy-free and egg-free. Every week or so, I challenge myself to try something new.  To recreate some kind of traditional dessert that tastes amazing without using animal products.
